An amazing country and great place for drums and drumming. Watching the drummers at the Perahera in Kandy was such a fantastic experience and the drummers were ferociously good.

I picked up a 'geta beraya' (the tall one) which is a hill country drum used to accompany dance sequences in all Kandyan rituals, an 'udekkiya' hand drum played with one hand while controlling the sound by applying pressure on the string as well as some curled drum sticks and a tambourine.
